Anise de Flavigny Pastilles
Anis de Flavigny pastilles are produced in a centuries old abbey in the beautiful French village of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain. The process follows a 9th century recipe that remains unchanged to this day. Each aniseed is layered with natural flavours and liquid sugar for 15 days, resulting in smooth edible pastilles that are free from artificial colours and preservatives. In France, the pastilles are said to symbolise happiness and fertility. Experience best selling flavours rose, mint, coffee, violet and delectable coffee. Each pretty oval tin features original artwork that many Anis de Flavigny devotees enjoy collecting. Saison is the exclusive Australian importer and distributor of Anis de Flavigny.
Anis de Flavigny's Anise pastilles are 100% natural and are about the size of a pea. In keeping with tradition, over 15 days aniseeds are wrapped in delicately flavoured liquid sugar until the sweet becomes gradually bigger. The finish is smooth due to the sweets rolling against each other in large pans. Sold in beautiful keepsake oval tins that depict the love story between a shepherd and his maiden.
