Merchant & Mills Cloth by the Metre ~ Francis Organic Cotton/Linen

European laundered linen and organic cotton blend, tumbled at the mill for softness. A drab tan shade.

A great match for all of our patterns, dresses, tops and loose fitting trousers. 

This cloth also works well for lighter curtains for a casual less refined look.

• 140cm wide.
• 7oz, 240gsm.
• 47% linen, 11% recycled linen, 42% organic cotton.
• Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Linen will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.
• If you are using this linen for curtains we recommend using a lining to prevent fading.
• Never dry linen in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.
• This linen is Oeko-Tex certified.
• Member of the European Flax-Linen and Hemp alliance.
• The dyes used on this cloth are GOTS certified.
• This item has been discounted as we are concerned with the bobbling that is occurring after washing. The mill have confirmed that this is happening due to the recycled content in the fabric – recycled fibres have a short staple length. So please note your cloth may bobble after a couple of washes, this can be de-bobbled just like a wool and should then settle down.
